Excellent condition, never used beautiful rare Portmeirion Compleat Angler Irish Gillaroo Trout by artist A. F. Lydon 

Square Baking Casserole Dish with Fern Border. 

Measures approx. 9.75" x 9.75" x 2.5" deep. 

Portmeirion introduced this fish pattern "The Compleat Angler" in 1981 from the illustrations of original paintings by artist A.F. Lydon (Alexander Francis Lydon (1836-1917), a British watercolor artist, illustrator and engraver of natural history and landscapes as found in The Compleat Angler - British Fishes book published in 1879. This A. F. Lydon pattern was manufactured by Portmeirion and products designed by founder and designer of Portmeirion Pottery Susan Williams-Ellis who collected beautifully illustrated books from the 1800's and used this A. F. Lydon illustration as the basis for this collection.
