CHIEF RED FEATHER is the fourth and final plate in the series THE NOBILITY of CHILDREN, created by Edna Hibel. 

The Chief comes from the great Southwest of the United States, and he takes his noble title, not from an aristocratic birth, but from Edna Hibel’s long cherished belief in the innate dignity of childhood. CHIEF RED FEATHER portrays the innocence and serenity that Edna Hibel finds in all children, whatever their nationality or ancestry. These timeless qualities are at the heart of Edna Hibel’s Nobility of Children theme that “the true nobility of the world is in its children”. This Limited Edition plate was produced in Germany by ROSENTHAL in 32 colors on the finest quality porcelain, rimmed with gold. 

Issued in 1979 in a Limited Edition of just 12,750 plates, with an original issue price of $140.
