Douglas Atwill paints in acrylics, usually on the primed linen canvas he prefers. Atwill's subjects range from the New Mexico landscape of mesas, escarpments and mountain scenes to verdant corners of his own garden. 

His original paintings sell for prices ranging from a few hundred dollars for a small canvas to ten thousand dollars for his largest size, sixty-six inches square. 

Atwill’s work is included in personal collections, as well as on corporate and museum walls across the country.

Atwill studied at the Universita per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy for one year, and at the University of Texas, from which he graduated in 1961. 

Douglas Atwill's works are in hundreds of public and private collections.
